    My poor baby...

Just went out to pick up a few grocery items and turn into my drive (it's a gravel drive). For some stupid reason I use the front brake as I have the bars turned to get closer to the letterbox and SLIP!!

End up on her right side. Small scratch on the tank and anothe rsmall one on the exhaust.... Only minor but still pisses me off. Don't know why I pulled the front so hard. Dumbarse moment!

    Front Brake = Right Hand.
    Back Brake = Right Foot.

If you write it on the inside of your visor, maybe next time you will remember.

But seriously, yes I do sympathise. Really quite annoying.

    A very cheap lesson learnt

the driveway gods will strike down upon thee with great vengeance and furious anger those who attempt to brake too hard when turning into driveways!

Many of us have been there, and some of us have thrown some pretty farken funny tantrums . You are not alone. I have been one of the lucky ones and have had no witnesses.

Sorry to hear your baby is scratched.

Haha, well I did this in front of all the traffic going past on SH16.... Bike fell, I could only slow it's descent. I left it lying on it's side while I walked to the letterbox, trying to remain calm, then went and picket the bastard up and assessed the damage.

But yea... hopefully next time I wont be so incredibly stupid :P

What a munter, ive NEVER dropped my bike........ever

To laugh often and much; to win the respect of intelligent people and the affection of children; to earn the appreciation of honest critics and to endure the betrayal of false friends. To appreciate beauty; to find the best in others; to leave the world a bit better whether by a healthy child, a garden patch, or a redeemed social condition; to know that even one life has breathed easier because you have lived. This is to have succeeded

Thanks Shorty! You're a real pal!

Hmmm.. my old bike fell over a few times. Once it vibrated off the stand to roll away and fall over on the grass (lucky!).

So legend has it, once on the 7th day of ownership (left side), once on the 8th day of ownership (right side) & a third a short time later

Was first BIG bike & I was tippy toes on it when on flat ground which was dodgy as all hell when parked on a hill :slap:

I've put my (current) bike down once.

At zero km/hr in my garge.

And the only dent in it is a little one I put on the tank myself, with my helmet.

    Sigh.

    Show off

At least Metalor you still managed to look like you'd kept your cool, by casually sauntering to the letterbox instead of collapsing in a blubbering heap!
Feel for you, I really do. I managed to allow my ginny to roll off the sidestand once when retrieving my mail; no real damage done except for the damned indicator, but I was fuming. Never done it again; bet you won't do it again!
