Really knackering. Liked the open then the tight bits to compensate.
Seem to be staying about mid pack (in the novices!). Shit some of those vets are damn fast glad we didn't enter in that.
80th overall so plenty of space for improvement!
    Roll on the third round.
lol i did the guy moving us up to the start line was waving at my helmet cam and i was pointing him to you. and the guy under the bike couldnt think of a better way to have fun on a sunday than doing a friendly bit of racing thow roll on the next one

I'm looking forward to the start. hmmm, something new perhaps? eat a pie, skull a beer?
I remember seeing videos of the races dad did in the 80s where they had to sprint to the bike, start it and go. Funny to watch people run in boots and helmets!

5-6k loop with that many riders by the time the last grid leaves the 1st would be on top of them as they start it would make for 13-14 minute laps for the mid pack riders and 10 or less for the front runners?? should be interesting race

had to read that a few times.

I think that he means that there is 5-6km (not 56km) of more open section then bush. A 3 hour race over a 5-6km loop would be carnage with 180 odd riders!!

a mass start for the last round? should lie on your stomach then have to sprint to the bikes, or spin around a broom stick a dozen times then run to the bikes ha ha ha.

How about the first lap being a sighting lap and time begins when you go through the timing tent for the first time. guranteed accurate lap times that way!!!!!!! i think....
    What do you guys reckon??????
This way tony gets to keep his hair as opposed to having a headache on his hands sorting those results and figuring out crazy lap times

Damn chain guide kept sliding forward and grinding on chain too.. oh well... Yep he sure did, he's a good kid and seems to have come of age lately, so damn fit and the most determined person ive ever met. The states did him the world of good

Yeah noticed your laps were a bit inconsistent, nature of the game a bit though, looks like you'll have to do the Nields series up here for practise .
Best part was the number of riders, really impressive !!!.
