I have been revisiting Monty Python lately (as part of my job, teacher aide in a Media Studies class, watching the development of alternative comedy)
Totally wasted on the yoof of today...they just don't get it! It barely raised a titter from the kids, while I was almost pissing myself!

That is so true. I hired a couple of DVD's a few years ago and my teens just yawned. "Dad, that's not anything LIKE funny".

Oh well, there's no accounting for taste, or the lack of it. And here's me thinking I'd done ok as a parent.

You've done fine, they are perfectly normal. My kids do enjoy Monty Python but most of their friends just look blank. And Fawlty Towers. And Blackadder.
