    F3 rule change?

I've got a question with the new F3 rules.

    1.1 Multi-cylinder four stroke up to 450cc
1.1a The working displacement of a 3 or 4 cylinder 4 stroke (Producing power hp) shall be no more
    than 450cc.

Where does this leave the Ozzy 450??

It has a working displacement of 600cc..........does it not???

I'm looking at going down the 600/450 road next year!

No it has a working displacement of 450cc. One cylinder is not working.

yeah bro, this sounds like a rule to clarify where the likes of the ozzy style supersport bike fits in. as boostin has said, the working displacement is 450cc as one cyclinder isnt filling. Spose this rule means there is no doubt as to its legality within the class.

Yup, like boostin said. The 4th cylinder sucks hp, it doesn't produce it.

it has a working displacement of 450cc. If she dont go bang then she dont make no grunt. the line producing power kinda sorts that out.

looking at that line the intent would be to stop over-boring (i.e. making a 454). it may have come about because the yanks have 450 superbike but you can have a overbore allowance (something like +.1mm overbore) giving a real displacement closer to 460cc.

A girlfriend once asked " Why is it you seem to prefer to race, than spend time with me ?"
The answer was simple ! "I'll prolly get bored with racing too, once i've nailed it !"

    Bowls can wait !

    Thats all good!

I thought the working displacement was the total amount of cc in action inside the motor!

Yes it is... so for the ozzy bike the total amount of cc in action inside the motor is 450cc.
