What has been stolen from you?

Most of us no doubt have been unlucky enough to get either our bike or parts of our riding kit stolen...

So what part of your kit or bike has been stolen and where were you when it was stolen?

    I'm curious......
I've learnt to hide the pain inside, open the throttle and ride away.

My innocence, at almost exactly the same time as my virginity. I understand that a woman was responsible for this heinous act.

I have had everything stolen from leathers, helmet, gloves, boots, to cameras, full tool kit, socket sets, spanners torque wrench... etc... basically every thing I owned... including the bed linen

I was at sea at the time during the first Fiji Coup actually in 1987, HMNZS Wellington, came back after 4 month tour of duty flat broken in empty...

Ive had 3 bikes stolen(never to be seen again) I managed to get one back...damaged and crashed by the thieving scum. My place was burgled 4 times in 10 years and lost heaps of stuff....most valuable thing lost was a vhs video tape with 2 hours of various home movie clips taken of my kids thru their growing years....no copies...gone forever
had a car stolen but got it back....damaged. Went to Australia for 3 years and stored a lot of household stuff with friends. Most of it went missing under dubious circumstances....fuck its hard to find honesty and loyalty in this place!
Lost my wedding ring in a burglary and someone stole away my missus a year later.

I don't think I've ever had a bike or anything bike-related stolen from me.

    Perhaps I've just been lucky.
The greatest pleasure of my recent life has been speed on the road. . . . I lose detail at even moderate speed but gain comprehension. . . . I could write for hours on the lustfulness of moving swiftly.

Ive had nothing taken either, with having no insurance on any of my stuff you tend to be a bit paranoid.

    Surely people don't steal ?

It is so easy to misslay things and there is no sense blaming others for our own absentmindedness (like Hitcher seems to have)

I've been lucky but Mrs Oakie had her bike stolen 2 years ago. Apart from that, all I can think of that's been flogged is a one of those wee $10 solar powered garden lights. The universe must love me.
