Ride with a social twist - 3 gorges Sunday Oct 4th

Ride through the 3 gorges on Sunday October the 4th, ending at my place for a BBQ tea and get together......
There are a few of our riding bud's who's bikes aren't on the road yet or even just don't have bikes, some who can't ride Sunday's cause of family. Figured it might be an idea for those of us who can ride to head up through the gorges for the day and have a stop at Methven for lunch. Returning to my place to meet up with any others who want to for a BBQ.

BYO sausages steak etc. For that reason meeting at my place so the meat etc can be popped into the fridge seems to be the best option.

Leaving 8 Cherry place at 10.30
Route is via Ashley gorge etc to Methven returning via the Rakaia gorge and old west coast road route back to my place.
    All welcome!!!

Well, after 3 months of no riding due to the rego being on hold for the winter, the bike will be rego'd again in the week leading up to this ride, and I'm hanging out for a ride since the weather has been so good for a while now.

This will be a great 1st ride of the season for me, so I'll see you there

Life's journey is not to arrive at the grave safely in a well preserved body, .... but rather to skid in sideways, totally worn out,... shouting "man, what a ride"!!!

We are both on night shift, but hopefully after a couple of hours sleep we will make it on the ride.
