The other thing that occurs to me is that we might be able to use some of the mix to get home on Sunday.
Me on new Knobblies too....you go first, I'll set up the camera!

Seriously tho, bits of the seal will be nasty, I was sliding all over the place on the TKCs last ride and that was dry.

I will have a selection of routes for your consideration, probably on a wet, unreadable map....
I was going to suggest Wairamarama rd to O'Briens (I remembered, ok) to Ruakiwi, Te Mata, Kawhia rd via the harbour then Huaturu rd to PioPio. thats fairly direct and gets to Pio Pio for late lunch time.

    Looking forward to it!

    Great minds think alike.

    Fools seldom differ

    Pick one.
I may not be as good as I once was, but I'm as good once as I always was.

Save me a trip up to Silverdale

Weather is not looking too flash at the moment, might be wet trip down.
Ok, will hold back on them and contribute to the next run

and thanks for the maps offer, although don't sweat it too much if it's a big hassle.. i might be able to get the chief accountant to OK the purchase of a book..

tsk.. next time, eh? and if you're looking for some sort of scant consolation, i guess since you'll be oop norf, at least you'll be well away from the big fashion yawn in the city.

    nice one mate
Ok, will make up for the map thing next ride ... how about up norf for that one too - as in waaay up norf?

Bad luck Johann, next time eh, maybe the north Kaipara roads?
True. I'd be keen for northern kaipara - maybe even further north? Getting kinda keen to explore sorta N.E. of Whangarei & around the B.O.I. & then maybe even a bit further north if time permits ...

Don't ask me what model rubber, it's DOT rated, and either a Dunslop or Mich. For $65, its probably going on.
Fri night I have a room to myself(meaning I can burp/fart/grumble and snort to my hearts content). Sat night, well someone will have to suffer
I've got an offer to have my bike trailered to Owhango, but that may fall through due to some wetness. Mind if I join you if that's the case?

I can let you know Thursday evening. I can be on the road by 1pm (from Auckland). It just means that there will be less tread on the tyres by Saturday.

Should be able to sort something out.
I'll be trying to avoid seal as much as possible, but still getting into Taurumanui before 5.30-6pm.
I'll check in with you on Thurs night at the latest.

    Another attendee!

I now have some spare time this Saturday and would enjoy a good day's ride with you all if there is room. It would be just for Saturday's adventure.

Good idea, seal can be slippery in the wet, it's much safer on gravel :-).
