Well the chap who the cops shot at but missed and killed someone else got a pretty steep sentence.

It is true that in criminal cases they have to prove beyond all doubt...depends on the Judge at the end of day and you may just get unlucy...

yeah true which is rare for NZ. I think our sentences are getting bigger now does anyone else think that? but yeah in texas a teen threw a rock through a shop window and got 5 years in jail, a man got 30 years for punching a kid in the jaw which broke it, and somebody got 3 life sentences for 3 people he killed, plus 130 years for the money he stole from a bank
