For real...I knew both shops. Phil's was not far from my place
Yeah, must of been a while ago, you were there (here).
Lakeside was the place to go. I first went there when I was 16. Still remember the day wasn't long enough. Lots of action, for sure.
I worked at the old Surfers Paradise track, occassionally marshalling, in the 80's, when they used to have international races there.
I think we have much to talk about, Pete, when me catch up

Sure as fuck didn't have a lot of grass left once Stefan had 'practiced' his trial show on it for a while. Had his man made trials demotrailer parked out the front...the one he used to take to shows with the ramps etc...the neighbours used to love it when he was out front practicing...a free show after all!

We lived in Upper Mt Gravatt...just over the road from the Newnham (sp) Hotel. Dangerous!

Good on you, you must have sold yourself well at the (impromptu) job interview or they wouldn't have offered it to you on the spot!

All the best for the future of your new job. Cheers, John.
    thanks John, kind words indeed

I'm in the accessories, not bike sales....but not counting anything out for the future....
Had two 1098 Duc turn up next to the counter today....gotta love that.

....when I was 17 I applied for a job at the Ducati spares distributor in Brissie...they said it was a guys job....

Yeah...I left Boyle Kawasaki to go work in a Ducati dealership as I wanted to know all about them. I like em...but couldn't justify owning one.

Of course they can! Just some people justify things (as in have far more avail/disposable cash)than others.
