It appears the HB people are afraid to talk on here now - that is a shame.
Just a reminder that the Burger Fuel/Five Star ride is on today. Meet Burger Fuel in Napier at 11 am .
Yup, will be there.![]()
Me too.

Thats the DAYLIGHT SAVINGS 11am time
(not that anyone would have forgotten to wind their clocks forward an hour at 2am this morning aye)
Nice day out on the bike again. A couple of spirited bursts of fun here and there too. On the way home I stopped to visit a mate who pointed out that my front tyre looks a little flat. Upon checking it at home it turns out that I was running the front on 25psi and the rear on 40psi Arrrrgh![]()
I wonder if I can use that as an excuse for my oversight at the end of one straight
and my poor tight cornering abilities at one part on the twisties to Waimarama.
I guess I'll have to start checking such things lol.
BTW, thanks for waiting up for me in Clive people.Much appreciated.
"The Cardy Wearers" had a lovely ride too.
Seven, including one pillion, turned up!
Wasn't the weather just stunning?

If my nose was running money, I'd blow it all on you...
The Burger Fuel ride saw a huge number of bikers turn up. It sure was a brilliant day to be out riding, and good to see some new faces too.
Good turn out and enjoyable day. Thanks to all![]()
Was a good ride today, weather about perfect. Would have liked to make the ride longer and join the crew to Waimarama but had other obligations. Great to meet some new people today!
Surprising how you can lose pressure so quickly sometimes. The golden rule is THOU SHALT CHECK THY PRESSURES BEFORE EVERY RIDE. I wonder how many do? I should know better, but to be honest, only using the bike for 150kms once a week it's easy to do it every now and then. Had a new set put on in April, did a track day at Manfeild next day ( so pressures re checked) and the rear would lose 5 psi a week for the life of that tyre. Never had one like that before. Fitted a new rear hoop yesterday, and they took off 30 grams of lead, and replaced it with 115 grams directly opposite where the 30 gms had been. Same make and type of tyre. Whats that about? Thats another 85 grams of unsprung weight, no wonder the bike feels slow. Mind you, went to lube the chain hot, when I got home, and found the chain was tighter than a tight thing. Rear wheel would bind at 2 or 3 places it was so overtight. Wonder what thats done to the counter shaft bearing? Pays to check even after the bike shop has fitted tyres (chain tension and tyre pressures).
