How much is my Guzzi worth?

Thinking it may be time to let the Guzzi go. Other than periodic laps around the Port Hills to keep it healthy it's really not getting used (rego on hold at the moment).

I brought it to NZ from the Isle of Man. It's a 2000 model with a little under 20,000 miles on the clock. Had a comprehensive service, new tyres and battery around 3,000 miles ago. Apart from aftermarket mirrors it's totally stock (still have original bar end weights and mirrors). It's been totally reliable.

So, my question is what's a reasonable asking price?

Hard to calculate really. Cost a lot to get it here etc. Didn't think I'd ever sell it. Even had the original owner track me down in the Isle of Man (not hard to do - it's f'kin' tiny) and try to buy it back. Apparently he'd toured Norway on it and had fond memories.

In all seriousness, keep it. Put the rego on hold and throw a cover over it until the start of next summer.
Prices for that model have hit rock bottom and the market is dead.
If you put it up for sale right now I would expect it to fetch around 11K at the most. I don't want to sound mean or anything, but I have watched a few (none in that lovely colour) sit for ages around 9-10K over winter with no movement.
There was a mint silver one with 12,000 on it and a few extras like cans and they wanted 9.5K - not sure what it sold for in the end but it was owned by a chap on KB and was well looked after. In the last 2 years there have been a lot of grey imports of that model from Japan and the USA which has deflated the value un fortunately, and being a Guzzi you only have a limited market in a small country- not enough nutters to go around.
Yours is an awesome bike too, unless you really need the money it might pay to wait- then you can change your mind in the interim and keep it rather than sell it too cheap and regret it in a few years then end up buying another one that will never be as good as the devil you know (so to speak) and the colour, did I mention the colour? Sweet ride. Best of luck.

I agree. Stick with the guzzi as I can't imagine someone selling their Guzzi to downgrade to a tractor

Thanks for the replies. Mate was talking about selling his rather posh California recently but in the end decided there was no way he'd get a similar spec bike for the same money. Great brakes, good suspension, those nice spoked but tubeless wheels, grunty motor etc. etc.

I do think you get a lot for your money with a Guzzi.
