but Im not clear . the truck was in front and there was a car in front of that truck ,,,, and you over took the truck and the car suddenly did a u turn ?

I was travelling South a truck was coming towards me, North, the lady who tried to kill me was following the truck quite closely. Just as the truck drew level with me she decided it would be a good time to do a U turn. As she was tucked in behind the truck I didn't even see her, and obviously she didn't look to see if the way clear. Wasn't going real quick had just turned into the road from T intersec 200m back so accelerating to terminal velocity, I mean 100km/h.

Just trying to make sense of what you said.

So your helmet head smashed right through the next oncoming vehicle?

And the broken nose and fractured skull was of the driver of the oncoming vehicle?

    Ouchie.

There's another thread on here somewhere with details of Weta's crash (I refuse to call it an 'accident' and I hope the at-fault driver gets everything she deserves!) The thread really is a good read, and it still absolutely astounds me that Weta not only survived but is so relatively undamaged!

I'm glad you managed to locate your bike Weta. Last time you posted here you were still looking for it!

Glad you're ok. Could've been much, much worse.

On the bright side, you get to shop around for a new bike!

    Just read the other thread

Damn lucky , I wouldnt be buying a lotto , as I think you have used up all your luck and it would just be a waste of five dollars

The woman following should be ticketed for following to close and failure to stop , when a splatted biker suddenly drops out of the sky .

Good to hear you found a nice soft spot to land... You ever talk to the driver who pulled out in front of you? Did they have anything to say in their defence, or did they just let their insurance deal with it?

Had all the usual gear for a long ride on leather trou, armoured jacket, race type boots. Only had light summer gloves but they seemed to do the job. No idea where any of that stuff is though vaguley remember the ambo lady cutting the jacket off me.... never mind the squishy bits inside survivied OK.
Glad to hear that you are okay. So, just to ask the obvious question - did you end up parked headfirst in her lap unconscious or did you make it right through the car?

    No
I haven't heard a thing from the lady who caused the crash, not a peep.
By coincidence I have a friend who knew the lady whose windscreen I went through and I rang here to check if she was OK and to say sorry for my sudden arrival.
Have been trying to track the other lady down but proving elusive. My bike wasn't insured....damn. So its up to me to try and screw her or her insurance for money.
Trying to get the right info from police has proved slow and frustrating, Officer in charge of case didn't write details onto system before going on 3 weeks leave etc. Lots of running around but hopefully will get there eventually.
Had a bit of relapse and spent 5 days in hospt with a back injury that surfaced after other swelling reduced... fun fun but still lucky.

Not exactly, went through the window, touched heads, she braked and I fell back out across bonnet and onto the road, luckily she stopped pronto before running over me eh?
Apparantely this lady although bleeding profusely and a bit concussed was great, got out and helped me, directed others etc. Big ups to her

I am just imagining arriving on this scene without knowing what had happened. There is a wrecked bike, one severely damaged car and one with the windscreen smashed in. There's a dazed biker, a woman with a broken nose and blood all over her face trying to organise things, another woman saying "He came out of nowhere! It's not my fault!" And a shocked truck driver.

How long would it take you to work out what had happened and what to do next?!
