My first ever wheelie!...accidently

sitting at the lights just now. Some dude in a V8 holden obviously wants to drag. I don't mind as long as its only up to the speed limit

light goes green and I give it alot of revs and drop the clutch.... bike takes off and I feel the front wheel rising

can't of been more than a few inches off the road but, I was quite stoked.

Obviously its not something I am going to make a habit of

I want my bike to last quite a few years yet.

Getting high is not as bad as the trip back down.

thankyou mate..... yeah, you're quite right. thats exactly why I won't be making a habit of it on public roads. I really don't want to become one of those riders. I can see how people get a thrill out of it though.

hell yes..... I find it quite funny how people in cars often want to drag me off at the lights. I don't have anything to prove. Any bike will usually win without even trying. Cagers need to be taught about power to weight ratio.

It has happened a couple of times to me in second gear when I was a bit slow on letteing the clutch out. It was uphill, so I guess it is easier to accidentally wheelie.

Not happy about banging my forks too hard.

I would imagine it would be much more common on a bigger bike like yours. Mines only a 650 and takes quite some reving up to get the wheel off the ground. I just know my baby wouldn't like it.

Wish I knew how to pull a wheelie. I mean I'm told I have the perfect bike to do it on but worried I might wheelie too far back

I surpose I should try at least once concidering I'm going to replace my steering head bearings soon anyway.

hehe I did my first wheelie on my Hornet dragging my hubby off at the lights.... was funny after I'd finished shitting my leathers!!!

good on ya. I managed the same thing while coming off a one way bridge and decided to overtake the truck and trailer going up a hill - bit freaky, but fun
