What people may also not know is that LTNZ send you to Baycorp after about a year for not keeping your regos up to date. Sure we could all put our regos on hold but they will start to limit that as well. They *will* get there money. In fact they could probably sell it as "creating more jobs".

If it stays, my cheap commute is very expensive (DR650), I'll sell and change where I work too as I'm not doing a 100k round trip on a 50!

I hope the consultation process and submissions do shake things up.
I think the proposed cost structure based on engine capacity is flawed and hopefully floored.
Pretty strong possibility the CB900 will be sold.

Probably pay rego on my 576 ccm "commuter" and refrain from paying rego on my 750 ccm weekend/track toy.
So, then it would remain just about the same as it is now.
It is preferential to refrain from the utilisation of grandiose verbiage in the circumstance that your intellectualisation can be expressed using comparatively simplistic lexicological entities. (...such as the word fuck.)

If it all comes to pass I'm thinking the drop in market value will mean that mine will become a trackday bike, $1600 saving on rego and insurance will pay for a lot of track days.
Plus I'm picking with the increased popularity they'll become more regular as well - like maybe every 2nd saturday hopefully.
.... back in green and feeling great ....
If this huge increase does go through, I'll probably pay for a year's rego before it takes effect. Then I shalt not pay.
I wont sell either, but have to admit paying almost as much as the bike cost each year to "legally" ride it on the road sucks.
I love riding my blue lovely far too much to give it up, I may however have to look at rego on hold for a period of time and simply not ride her![]()
i will buy a years worth before the changes take effect, but if they are as high as suggested, i will be forced into selling. i wont like it, but wont have any other option.
