wbks: how can you hit a nerve when the person has no nerves :P

    Seriously thou mark

you didn't bring this on yourself for drawing attention to yourself. The key to staying out of trouble is if a cop is following you just play it cool and not draw the attention of them by either erratic movements(like you did) or changing driving/riding style and acting nerveous

Waits for the bite of mark lol

I won't let my rego expire.

In other countries they can scan your rego from cameras above bridges.

At $750 a pop they may see a cost justiufication for doing the same here.

We talked about that last night at the Chiller.

It's sort of self defeating - cos if cameras are checking regos cops won't bother (they don't really care all that much, assuming you're not being a dick). And the camera can't check that the rego matches the bike! Only knows the PLATE has a current rego.

Maybe he should have let you ride off, then stopped you half a block later and given you another ticket for riding outside your conditions again? Do you really see a problem in him not letting you ride home? Can you imagine if someone was driving drunk, got a ticket, then was able to continue driving home? Under the law that's very similar to what happened here, the theory is that you're not allowed a larger bike because it's dangerous until you've had 18 months or so experience on a smaller bike...

Not that I'd suggest such a course of action, but it sounds like some people need to spend a couple of bucks getting spare keys made.

    Hoo-boy, imagine SMs screams THEN.!

(Would have been more sneakier to have called up a mate to wait down the road a bit - and just as SM is thinking all is sweet - BAM! - 'the man' gets him again..)

The cops let you drive/ride away if they green sticker your vehicle or hand out a fine for a noisy exhaust, among other things.
