I think most people want to by a used bike believing that granny has only ridden it to church on Sunday (did you know - 98% of all mx bikes on tardme have "only been trail ridden"?). Maybe it puts people off realizing that granny has in fact ridden through a shit load of mud and gravel with half the world strapped to the bikes arse?

I know how well you've looked after that bike and would buy it without hesitation - if I was in the market for a gaymobile

I'm tempted to change tactics with selling the DRZ. I might de-register it, and sell it as off road, but with a road kit. I've had a few enquiries, but no one's come for a look yet.

Obviously no-one in your respective home towns wants to buy a bike riden by the local nana. It's all gummed up & needs a good blow out.

But seriously you guys do live a long way away from the big cities, which probably puts off anyone except the very serious prospective buyer. I've been thru the buying process recently & it involved travelling some k's.

That xr500 would be a brilliant trail bike come classic racer type thing. Was toying with getting a trail bike, and still may but it would now need to be unreg trailertrash cos of impending acc drama.
