Well I've finaly thawed out after a long trip home. Saw quite a few new roads on the way home (some not intentionally).

Will post up some pics later. Some came out surprisingly good, considering the conditions.

Yip we probably would have dicked around for some time more until Bart waded across the stream to check the depth & show us where the hole was. Gav then led all the troops across sucessfully, shame the next nemisis was only 100 metres further along the track. Turn around & back thru the stream - again all sucessfully but wet socks for everyone.

    Yeah definately

I still have to see that hill! I'm starting to think that its not actually real, just a photoshop image and an urban myth...

But if that is right then I still need to know where that track really goes

Seriously though, Im tied up for the next 6 or so weekends (not literally ) so nobody better knock that bastard off before then!

Absolutely tremendous shot BART - you are a lens god.

Keen for another try. Suggest we avoid
    1) any wet weekend (!)
    2) 14/15th November. 14th is WW1 aircraft flying display at Masterton (I want to go) and 15th is Toast Martinborough (facilities will be somewhat under pressure!)

Enjoyed Sunday regardless of the rain and the failure to get as far as planned. Still, as I said on Sunday, in a parallel universe I had my folding saw, we made it past the downed willow tree and we got benighted on the other side of some raging torrent (rather than enjoying an espresso in a nice warm cafe)

Sh*t doesn't just "happen". There is always an a*sehole involved.

Cheers guys. I work on the theory that for every 100 shots, you have to fluke a couple of good ones. I had to delete a heap because of water on the lens. Amazingly, the camera still works.

Bigger versions under 'Sutherlands 18-10-09' in 'Bart's photos' (my signature thing down below). Keep clicking on the photo you want until it blows it up real big. I'll chuck a few more in there too.
