Hey everyone,
Well they say you only live once, so I went and got my new bike on the weekend. Im all giddy with excitement for its delivery tomorrow. Well, I wanted to do more long distance riding, so needed a bike that would handle that. I'm not much of a fanger through the twisties but wanted a comfortable yet reasonably sporty bike that could handle a slightly quicker pace haha. A bike that could carry luggage and someone on the back down to wellington without breaking a sweat. A bike that looks great, is well looked after and well set up.
After perusing trademe and spending all of saturday testriding bikes (one of which was the vmax....fun but the novelty wore off), there was only one bike that really made me go "gimme gimme gimme". Looks fantastic, well kept, comes with some awesome extras and the previous owner is a top guy and one of the nicest people I have ever met. Hopefully now he can get that street triple of his haha.
Yup, I grabbed blackbirds blackbird

WOOOHOOOOOOO. Now, I realise that a lot of responsibility comes with this, geoff reinforced that but I am ready to step up. I found that once on my full license my riding improved as you realise the shit can really hit the fan on the big bikes. Anyway, I am stoked and really happy that I got basically one of my dream bikes.
Its amazingly comfortable and extremely well set up.
Pics to come within the next few days.
I'm so excited, that I just can't hide it, nananananananan. WOOHOO.
the thing I'm a little apprehensive about is the weight, I'll have to take it veery easy for the first few weeks making the transition. Already got some touring luggage bags in ma sight.
Ride safe
