    How do you?

Get sticker glue off your tank.... the annoying stickers they put all over new bikes, for regulation reasons... or just to pacify the americans.

I have got the sticker off, but NOT THE GLUE... any usable ideas...

    cheers

De-Solve it! Bloody incredible stuff, melts the glue and does not damage the paint. Mitre 10 or places like it have it. You can probably find it at the stupid market.

    Spray thinners
A girlfriend once asked " Why is it you seem to prefer to race, than spend time with me ?"
The answer was simple ! "I'll prolly get bored with racing too, once i've nailed it !"

I have had good luck in the past using a hair dryer on stickers whilst they are still on the bike,
but for the residue left by a sticker being ripped off?
then as others have said spraying thinners.
If you are game , want to risk the wrath of she who must be obeyed, nail polish remover also works well

I used mothers car polish. Started with the Cleaner Wax and then after removing the residue, gave her a once over with the Carnuba Wax. Worked well.

As has been mentioned, if you've still got the sticker on, a hair dryer and gently warming the sticker should let you peel it off with no residue.
If you've already taken it off - De-solve-it. Which reminds me, I need to buy some more (gotta stop sniffing it!)
