MNZ patron resigns
The Board of MNZ has received the resignation of Life Member and Patron Christchurch’s Kevin McCleary.
The Board had received a ‘Code of Conduct’ complaint from a South Island MNZ member regarding Mr McCleary’s actions in disseminating to Clubs information which was misleading and attacked the professional and personal reputation of Board members. It also put into the marketplace confidential employment information in regards to the former CEO of Motorcycling New Zealand.
The Board advised the Patron of the complaint and urged him to provide the Board prior to their Board meeting on Dec 10th, with an explanation addressing the ‘Code of conduct’ violation.
However Mr McCleary chose not to do this and advised MNZ, on consideration, he had decided to resign.
The Board accepts Mr. McCleary’s decision and would like to take this opportunity to thank him for the many years of service he had given firstly to the ACU and then MNZ and wish him a fulfilling retirement.
