Everyone keep Sunday the 22nd pencilled in their diary. That's the plan so far for a coromandel ride.

Just curious, who would be keen to really keep it casual and be up for taking togs for a swim and even chucking some bangers, bread, and sauce in for a bbq at a beach/park rather than hitting up the coroglen?

I'd be keen for more of a hang than a ride, riding is fun bit it is rather lonely as ya can't chat to people (so keen for some bike-bike radiosets).

Dunno bout swimming, cause i'm not a swimming person, but keen to ride out to some nice beach/park a decent distance away and have a nice bbq of some sort after exams

Sweet could be a plan then. If others are keen then I can easily carry all the food chucked in my top box. Would be mint to have a big rest in the sun halfway round the coro!

An online search reveals nothing in terms of any beachside bbqs... If all else fails we can hit up my uncles bach in Pauanui and make use of the barbi, that would be some 250km from our starting point though haha kinda getting starving by then!!

im in, not too much for the cruising... save that for the highways in between imo... havnt been on a good ride with any1 above a 250 for a while (altho i did manage to find a group of 600s on the way for a little while), need sum fun

there MAY also be RUMORS of a possible team zx....

From memory there's (primitive) BBQ facilities at that beach around from Coromandel township. About three wiggle and a hill onward to Colville.

Or, just a hole on the beach , some driftwood and a bit a metal (the ball scrapers on Meridan Triumphs were perfect for this )
