Might be an idea if you do want to head off on your own to let one of us at the back of the pack (TECs) know so we don't think u r in trouble (breakdown etc) (at least wave us on)
Yeah, I know my limit's quite well and am under no illusions, I'm a new rider with a lot to learn and take on board. If I do get uncomfortable and decide to peel off I will make it obvious that I'm not in trouble and wave people on..

I'm going to hunt out Mom and Maha when I get to the start point and have a chat just to make sure I'm Ok with everything.

I am sure that I will be fine, I'm just a cautious kinda person.

It can be a bit daunting when riding in a large group for a new rider (other bikes passing etc) but the difference here is, there will be no passing, once you are in formation, thats where you will stay. The speed will be controlled by some experienced riders and this should ensure a nice flowing ride. You will be fine. Yes, come have a chat with me on Saturday Morning when you get there.

No worries man im a noob on a lil 250 also, I should make it to the ride on my yellow zeal. Probs at the front is the best place to be like mom said, or if you want to hang back with the TEC.

Oh btw how much K's is the full ride?

    How many K's?

Well the original route was about 120 K's.
The new improved route should be about the same.

Or, actually instructing a learner. T he rule is silent about the learner and instructor being on different vehicles (as always it assumes a car). But it clearly says that you can display an L plate if you are instructing. Which covers this case I think

    Aha, righto then.

Instructing, not instructor? Don't need an "I" endorsment on your licence?

Only if instructing for hire or reward. Otherwise Mum or dad couldn't teach junior to drive

What's with all these protests being on the only day of the week I cannot attend?

Surely the fact that there is one every saturday mitigates some of the significance? How about a sunday one to show that even those of us cursed to work on saturday care?

How about someone with flyers peeling off on occupied overbridges and giving out flyers??

Or would that mess things up too much.
