Ok, the ride itself was not 100% perfect, but hey — we're humans after all. I think in the main, we did pretty damn well today. Take it as practice for the next one.

To Maha: Well done mate. You stepped up to the plate and organised a very effective protest ride.

To Mom: That was a brilliant speech you made! Awesome!

To Ixion: You are developing into quite the canny statesman.

To the organisers behind the scenes: we appreciate all the work, effort and time you put into this.

I'll tell you one thing though: this ride did show me how easily a few hundred bikers could potentially bring a city to its knees if they so chose. Today showed me that we could quite easily choke the motorway system (the city's lifeblood), and if push comes to shove in the future, it is something that Messrs Merchant Banker Prime Minister; the Rogernomics boys and Business Round Table should note. (They probably won't unfortunately.)

Again, big ups on a good lil' protest ride!
Agreed, apart from the 'Big Ups". Not from the Bronx, or 16 years old so am only assuming you mean 'Well Done".
I think, if and when we need to, we can close down the big centers at any time we wish, we just hope we don't need to go that far.
Wondering how the guy who binned is feeling now? I know how I would feel.
He at least came out to support the campaign and so deserves some credit. Lets look after our own. How about a get well soon card, with a small "don't do it again" message tucked away in the bottom corner?
Cmon, we're only human (Nick Smith exempt).

"No comment" is such a great comment at the appropriate time.

What a cool ride, thanks to the organisers!

I was 2min late and caught up with the rear of the pack as it was still northbound before Silverdale...heading south just after the U-Turn at Silverdale there was a van the could have caused a pretty big pileup of bikers...he just pulled right out in front of a car caught amongst bikes, narrowly missing (and by narrow I mean less than 1m) both the bikes in front of him and the car behind.
I wish that was caught on camera for the news.

Like some other people have posted I thought it was a bit too hard keeping up with the lead pack. No complaints, but would have been nice to be bunched up a bit instead of trying to keep up...and no it's not because I was on a Honda!

Other than that (and a sore butt) I thought it was a good ride! Power to the people!

EDIT: I just wanted to say that whoever was on the trike up front with the cool skull helmet: I think your skull helmet is cool.
