About 30 bikes went through Egmont Village (just South of New Plymouth) before and after 7.00am. Main group after 7.00 will be the BRONZ organised group but smaller groups earlier and probably more before I got there. Many also made the main trip yesterday.
A number of bikes with pillions. Wet road but weather calm and fine.
Stick it to them and ride safe

Tawa to Wellington didn't seem enough of an effort so I rode to my folks place in Levin yesterday to join the ride in today.
On the way there were heaps and heaps of bikes heading South. (Geez I waved a lot). Lots of groups of two or three bikes.
So as well as the numbers in the "main" rides, you can expect a lot of riders have already gone to Wellington "on their own".
Awesome.

Go stick it to them .....and if you see a bunch of guys on old 80's bikes....that is the Blast From The Past (BFTP) group.(check it out on KB)..which headed to wellington from all corners of the land....they tend to break down...so please give them a hand!!....Go guys, have a great day...leave plenty of oil....

A caller to NewstalkZB Wellington is reporting that he has seen oncoming motorcycles 4 (?) abreast for at least 8 kilometres on the Foxton straights and they are still continuing. His estimate is 1500 bikes.
His comment is that Wellington is in for "one hell of a show".
