Curious TV3 news tonight, sadly they mentioned deaths on bikes... I am curious how this may relate to ACC .. as its Accident Compensation Corp, or do they cover the widows or widowers with a insurance payout... sorry for the negative post but I really would like to know how they can classify this as fact?

You could check with the cake tin security & see if they have any security surveillance.

major thanks to the police who got us all out in one group looked damn impressive in my rear view mirrow & the roads lined with the public who turned out to wave, cheer take pics & video us all

As a group we did really well to keep pretty much everyone together all the way down
Being involved with the Auckland protest at the weekend and seeing what about a kilometre of bikes looke like what the fook would 26k's of bikes have looked like???? It must have been so impressive.
Well done to all the organisers and all who attended. Those that couldnt make it (like me) followed every bit of information that came out of the day on here and in the media and I for one felt so proud to belong to the motorcycling community. Thanks for representing me/us in wellington today.

Graham it was just fuggin awesome mate, it really was. The bride and I watched from on high as bikes poured into the stadium up the ramp, in the opposite direction to those coming down the road, so you've got hundreds of bikers travelling 3 or 4 abreast coming at you and going away from you as far as the eye could see, it was mesmerizing, they came and they came and....

As for the speakers, they all did pretty well, quite daunting to speak in front of that many gnarly bikers. The Labour leader did particularly well in raising the spirit, Les and the others did very well and old shitty smithy impressed in that he actually addressed the baying hounds rather than hiding in his office but seconds into his little deluded monologue the same old crap came out and he was met with an amazing crescendo of BULLSHIT BULLSHIT! from the crowd. Even my reserved lady wife was giving him some at the top of her voice. He really is a smarmy lying bastardus.

The weather was great the crowds were magnificent and the organisation was superb. A brilliant day and I was proud to be part of it, Wellington has never seen the like.

I got soaked and cold on my return journey to the Naki but you know what I don't give a fack, today I was part of something special, the day the little fella stood face to face with the mighty of this land and spat in their eye.

They will remember us for sure, well done every one Pics tomorrow
    Oh bugger

ACC do cover widows and widowers, they pay rather a large amount of funeral expenses as well as a weekly pay out to the surviving spouse and also to any children if they loose a Father. Smaller children it is placed into a trust fund as far as I know. If a teenager studying a weekly allowance is payed to them.

Some very positive coverage on TV3 nightline just before! And possibly better video than tvnz managed to get even, some on board shots in the convoy...
