Word of caution BTW....... there's several areas of road resurfacing/patching between Glentunnel and the Rakaia gorge nothing major just a few spots of kitty-litter where you don't really want them.
Plus there's work being done on the 1st of the Gorge bridges (truck with cherrypicker doing work on the underside of the bridge) lollypop men about 500m either side of the bridges (probably be gone by the weekend but be aware anyhow).
