    A revelation

I just realised that i started my riding small, ie 50,farm bikes and then mx, now cross country/trail rides, however im taking it to the next level, DUAL PURPOSE, thats right, road legal, it will open up the whole world.
With MX you ride around a track like a tiger in a cage, trails give more scope of terrain to strech out, but still uaually one area, but if you have a good road legal, like an EXC or WR, wow, go anywhere.

Wait till the trouble comes and all the roads are locked down. Then we come into our own. Someone has to deliver the mail x-country.

Must be some sort of natural evolution thing on the way to a wheel chair...I just bought a WR250F for the exact same reason - charging round on a RMZ450 on MX tracks just wasn't really doing it for me anymore...I have so little spare time available these days getting fit enough to race one is a problem, and being pretty close to 40, getting my arse kicked by spotty teenage people made out of rubber, and spending litterally months longer to get over stupid little injuries is just not as much fun as trial riding and the odd cross country race....

the thought of all that freedom is makin me drool, ride karapoti through to munga's then out to the coast, then wherever. more drooling. would take a while for it to stop feeling like your being naughty, dirt bikes on the road.

Do away with four wheeled vehicles all together.

Motards are the way of the future!

Well, be sure to drop in at the Adventure/Dual Purpose forum. Lots of 'good keen men' in there. Plenty of rides organised, plenty of chaps happy to show you around.

A few of us even hang out in here, too, 'cos we've also got proper dirt bikes.
    Cheers,
    Colin
