sentencing is in line with the risk he posed to other road users, surely you would rather a 2 ton bently crash into you than a 200kg motorbike

In the UK it would probably cost more to insure the Hyabusa than the Bentley. The Bentley driver is obviously some sort of cheapskate so they let him off for being underprivileged.

if you read the comments there were some significant differences between the cases
mainly the biker was charged with dangerous driving, whereas the driver was only in trouble for the speeding (apparently the biker was speeding on a single carriageway - which i presume means one lane each way - and overtaking on blind corners etc)
seems its not just mainstream media that likes to slant things to their liking
