TARARUA RANGE AND URBAN AREAS FROM WELLINGTON CITY TO WAIKANAE
Heavy rain is expected to develop during Saturday morning. In the 12
hours from 8am to 8pm Saturday, 100 to 120mm of rain may fall in the
Tararua Range. During the same period, it is possible that 40 to
50mm of rain could fall over the urban areas from Wellington City to
Waikanae (including the Hutt Valley). The bulk of this rain may fall
in 3 to 6 hours. Rainfall intensities of 15 to 20mm/hr are possible
both in the ranges and over lower lying areas.
