Freakin awesome. I hope he stays fit and healthy over there. Had a bad run with Factory Red Bull Honda unfortunately. The dude has got serious talent and is still pretty young.

Heard a rumour he's lining up against our other US champion -Paul Whibley in the Bel-Ray X-country next weekend! Any bets?

Mmm, I dunno if it was technical I'd agree, but Bel-Ray is pretty open ( from what I've heard ) and BT was seriously fast in the first one.

Ok, on reflection Whib's, but it'll be helluva close.

its open and fast but its not a moto x track thats for sure, there were some tricky bits last time. If both go for gold itll end up real messy

I don't see either of them backing down , going to be one heck of a race.

Well put, I hope it doesn't end in injuries & tears. I'd probably put money on BT (but then I blew $100 betting on Shane Cameron against Tua in the 'farce' of the century).

heard of snakes on a plane but not internet on a plane Takatimu?

United have installed wifi for some domestic flights in the USA, they have seat power in economy as well, it was free for first use so figured I'd give it a shot. Was kinda cool, but really only for the novelty value.

I actually think the one who'll benefit most from the race is Whib's, racing BT could be just what he needs in his quest to get back to back GNCC titles. Rumour is he's changing brand as well, BT's CRF450 vs a '10 YZF450 maybe

That seems pretty damn cool to me. Thought coms stuff caused panic re possible interference with avionics.
MX versus XC guys, MXers frequently seem to have an edge in pace. Maybe a an extra bit of agression mojo maybe. Shane King was amazing in NZ ISDE. Will be very interesting. I hope its close, whatever happens!

I reckon it'll be v. close, if I was to bet, my money would be on a last lap pass by BT on Whib's.

There are no proven cases of wireless interference with Avionics that I know of, either cell phone or wifi, both of which are coming to a plane near you soon .
I'm guessing takeoff/landing you've got critical wireless communications occurring between the tower & the plane which it'd be wise to not interfere with.
The wifi connection was fast on the plane I have to say, 3g mobile broadband speed at a guess, I never tried streaming video & speedtest.net appeared suspiciously like it was blocked.
