A treaty is an agreement by which parties formalise the terms of... let's say ... living together. Sadly the ToW is fundamentally flawed in as far as the English copy don't mean the same ans the Maori copy. Therefore we actually have TWO contracts... formalising areas where we disagree on how we will live together.

anyway the treaty was with Queen Victoria and did not provide for her successors and as she is no longer blessing us with her pressence the treaty is no longer valid anyway
