Always got an eye on a new bike?

If Father Christmas gave me the best bloody bike ever invented, I guarantee by this time next year I'd be scouring the bike mags and Tard me for my next 'potential' ride. I must single handedly keep most of the Bike press in business, reading every last little detail about bikes I have no interest in whatsoever.

I've fallen in and out of love with more bikes than I could ever own in the eternal search for the perfect bike, we all know it doesn't exist and every self respecting biker needs a garage full of bikes to cover every type of biking scenario blah blah blah......anyway.

Much as a Man, madly in love with his wife, will still check out a beautiful Botty rolling on by, my roving Bikers eye has landed on this The 2010 FZ1 fazer. I'm a fussy Bastard in a window shopping kind of way and will dismiss bikes for petty reasons but I can't find any thing wrong with this baby.

It looks stunning ( to me) It has been re mapped to give it the low down punch it was reputedly lacking and the reputed on /off nature of the throttle has finally been ironed out, brakes, handling, finish were all great anyway, according to my sources, (a bloke down the pub)

So what do we think, the perfect all rounder?? What have you got your eye on for the next potential bike, I know you've been looking

I've been potentially buying bikes every waking hour of the day. Trouble is, my current bike basically does everything I need and the maintenance is slow low, that I can't logically try get another one with more 'fun factor'.

    Stupid growing up

Edit: My 'perfect' bike right now would be a CB1000R with some givi luggage and heated grips. Oh lordy how I'd fall in love with that bike everyday.

Edit2: The full faired Yamaha Diversion is also very tasty.

Edit3: The CB1000R has to be white.

    Edit4: See photo

Though I can't afford a new bike, and my rational mind tells me things like 'I should get something like an F650 that lets me tour all the back roads', or 'I should get a 500 cc commuter, since that's what I do most', or 'I should get something small and go back to basics, revise my skills', or 'I should follow the ACC recommendations and save money by buying something under 600cc' - I still like the idea of one of the big nakeds - GSX1400, CB1300, or the one I think I like the looks of best: the XJR1300.

Not because it is an allrounder, practical or cheap. Just because.

I must be one off, as I do not buy mags and look at new bikes. Never interested me. My dream is a fully home built one. By me. Heaps of tricky one off stuff. Now just need to find the time. And some $$'s...

May the bridges I burn light the way.

The top spec Ducati Streetfighter ticks all my boxes without having actually ridden one. Too lazy to post a pic.

Oh Onya HB, My eye has roved over that little beauty too, have you sold your HD or are you about to be doubly penalized by Levies?

Mine too C but realistically, I don't have the skills or the money, what a great dream to have though.

It's well fancied innit, dunno if I'd fancy owning one though.

I know what you mean, in fact I went down the BMW R100R route because of the 'shaft' and the handling is supposed to be brilliant but there seems to be some reliability issues with that particular Boxer motor so it moved down the list, nice though.

I know it's a gixxer, but realistically, this will be next.

Value for money and the most sensible(?) next bike for me - or maybe a 'busa...

    Haven't decided yet!

Done the Cruiser thing, and it was a bit premature...but this is only this years decision.

Current bike (as much as it is a perfect all-rounder for me) is two years old now so I'm getting itchy feet...

HD has been sold, For far less then even my worst projections.

Ah well, Originally I was going to sell the HD, pocket a grand, use the leftover to buy a late model second hand speed Triple.

Somewhere along the way it all got sick and twisted and I bought a brand new one.

But fuck me, Ive been grinning so hard for the last 5 days I think I may have permanently damaged my face.

Fuggin Yum, again a bit too painfully sporty for these old bones but it sure is a looker. Bronze wheels? hmmm.
