I've got a stripped down rolling spada chassis in my shed, just noooo motor after it overheated and melted some very expensive and hard to find parts..

Was planning on stuffing the biggest motor I could in it for a laugh, but racing it and smoking hyoslags would be way more fun..

    Just a wee bump here

My old spada may be up for sale for the right price. The guy who bought it has got the shits about the cam chain rattle [the tensioners are being gay]
From memory you can bore out the oil feed hole on the tensioner and viola! no rattles. Plus my old one looked the ducks nuts [like a handbag....]

Chaos, a gpx makes more power and torque than the hyosung. Kens bike may handle better even though it will be heavy, but, it's the rider that helps. A gpx will be lucky to push 30rwhp, which is alot more than a hyosungs 24rwhp [on a brilliant day]

    Alright,

this is a nice and blatant plug for myself, you may notice that I voted "not sure" in the above poll,

I'm not sure mainly cos I'd never been to a track before, can't really afford...
So if you haven't already, vote for me in the free ART day pass at puke and I'll have my chance to see if it is something I want to pursue.

    Cheers in advance

Kens bike aint heavy, maybe 140kg...., the power on kens bike is realy good, but its not the same as a 150 water cooled two stroke......as its not as exciting, the torque is up there, And for sure id much rather ride a hyosung than a GPX because the hyosung has the right riding position....

It will be interesting to compare my ss150 bike with kens ss250 when i ride my 150 for the first time this weekend.

Its a pity chaos isnt ridng in the TRRS because he'd learn alot from riding with lots of bikes the same power as him.

How did ken get more than 30kg off the standard bike?
Would be interesting to see what a two smoke 150 is like in comparison, I think the two smoker would be quicker.

standard exhaust, dash assembly, lights, indicators, pillion gear,stand......ect i took 10kg worth of weight of my cbr and ive still got lights and standard exhaust.....

Ive taken the krr150 down my street in 3rd.....and man does it pull!!!, the hyosungs power is more slower to come.....but about the same, the 2 smokers just deliver it in an more exciting way.

The ss150 bikes from what ive heard are better top speed wise as they have a 6th gear, On track 2 i was doing 145km/h on the hyosung in 5th....it had plenty of throttle left so a top speed of about 160-165km/h. rg's,kr's,krr's ive been told ss150's would do 180km/h...

The standard exhaust doesn't weigh too much, remember, it's being replaced by a same length or longer system, so onluy a few kg there. Dash cluster weighs as much as my left nipple. Lights don't weigh too much Pillion gear is a piece of plastic with foam and two alloy pegs, 3kg max I would expect. Stand really is not very big, so at the end of the day, it would make more difference with my weight vs Chaos. I'm just over 50kg [full bladder and stroked ego] and I hear Chaos is a wee bit more....

But really, the rider counts, Rossi won on the Yamaha because he is amazing....not because he has 5kmh more acceleration and less top speed [wtf?]

I am going to be interested in seeing the lap times between all the v2 four strokes and the 150's

    What the Fuck?

    Please explain this to me.

How the hell can having a 6th gear make a bike faster?

It can't. All it does is make the ratios in the box closer. Unless of course the 5 gear bikes rev all the way out in 5th, then a 6th gear would help (or change a sprocket but i dont think they're allowed to do that? )

But closer ratios from a 6-speed is always good, i know my racecar could do with an extra cog!
    Yeah, nah.
