People pay more than that for ZXR/CBR 250's.

I'd say that bike is worth every penny having seen it in the flesh. I paid $6k for my TRX with similar km's and goodies on it. In fact I've seen lesser VFR's and RVF's go for a fair bit more money than that.

actually that's a pretty good price - bike would be worth about $6500 privately and as much as $8k if it were from a dealer

I picked my mint VFR up with similar k's for $6,500.

Sold it with over 40,000km on it for $6,200.

    And they're worth every penny.

If you say so. I simply couldn't justify spending that kind of money on a ~15 year old bike. Especially when I bought my 2001 GSX-R 1000 with 32k on the clock for $6000.

yeah but its a gsxr, the rvf is a good bike.
Then I could get a Kb Tshirt, move to Timaru and become a full time crossdressing faggot

Don't worry. We can't all be born perfect.

But you can dream of one day joining our ranks, I suppose.

with less that 10k on the clock what does 15 years of storage matter when you're buying a bike that's been thrashed for 32k over 8 years instead?

It'll still embarrass your gixxer on any road with a corner in it

And if it were an RG500? An RC45? A Britten? Age has what to do with it again? Your position could be tenable if a newer equivalent could be obtained, but given that it can't, you're a dick.

What a completely retarded comment. OAB has a K2 GSXR1000, and he'd rape you on an NC35 with one arm tied behind his back (well actually in the front of his jacket, but that's nitpicking) between say... Nelson and Springs Junction

without losing his licence? I haven't done that one yet but I meant a real twisty road (that twisty bit of SH6 over the mountain north of nelson is a good one) where straight line speed isn't important

put a good rider on any bike and they'll rip up - put an average rider on a brute of a bike and they may as well be on a 400

good luck with attitude - if we put rossi on an RVF he'd beat OAB with one arm tied behind his back

Look, it's like this... basically you're a bit misguided / misinformed.

Even using a reasonably twisty (and super fun) road as my example, you're statement was shot down in flames.

However, if you want to press the point, please do tell us how the magical NC35 is going to embarras a first generation GSXR1000 on 'any road with a corner'??

Or did you mean to say 'A litre bike will have a hard time getting past an NC35 with a 100 metre head start on any road that has fifty 25km/hr hair pin bends inside of 2kms'.

On the one hand, that would probably be a valid description of a situation where the NC35 would come out on top, but for the rest of us living in the real world, you're still talking out of a hole that isn't your mouth

Just because you can't ride a litre sports bike faster than you can ride a 400cc one, doesn't mean that their aren't others that can.

Now if you'd said, imdying, I'd whip you silly over the Takaha hill on an NC35 if you were on your shiney new fireblade, even with a 400 metre head start, then you'd probably be on the money. However, your statement was an absolute that simply isn't correct, if you think you're not going to get pulled up on that, then you're living in lala land.

/edit: In the interests of full disclosure, I'm happy to admit that I think the NC35 is a kick arse bike and I've love a low mileage one in the original colour scheme. Those foxeyes are the fuckin win!
