Yeah well i really like Ducati's right from first being interested in bikes. I love Italian style, personality,quality and performance. For a while i thought i'd buy a SS750 but then i started looking at the 1000cc mark and then the like's of a Moto guzzi Breva,or Moto Marini Corsaro or a Aprilia Tuono tickle my fancy too. At the moment i'm very interested in a Aprilia Shiver. I have only sat on one at this stage. Bloody nice bike especially with ABS! A tad bit to high for me when i'm trying to touch the ground but in riding position very very comfortable!! Style,grunt,racing technology and quality. ooh nice!

hate to piss on ya parade... but ya on ye 1st bike right? best you wait 27yrs and 300,000 k before ya start dreaming, in the mean time stick with the 250, then 400, 600/750, 1000... this over time, then you can be like me on a MM Corsaro

so through Hallswell, black tulip, up gebbies to the sumit and then turn left on to the sumit road?
and onto the sumner turn off.

I was thinking - up and over Dyers Pass, past Sign of Kiwi to Gov Bay, Wheat Sheaf, Gebbies Pass, Summit Rd, straight ahead past Sign of Kiwi again, follow Summit Rd, down Evans Pass to Sumner = minimum distance to the twisties from BK carpark and maximum amount of twisties.

As i sit here surfing the web looking at what my next bike will be, I think to myself "What the hell will my next bike be??!!" I mean how on earth do you choose?? When buying a 250 you really are quite limited when you decide on style, performance, and new or used and finally you end up with a small list and you then take some for a ride and make your choice, relatively simple. Things seem to be a lot harder when you go from that to deciding on anything from a 250cc up to a 2300cc bike and there are hundreds of bikes to choose from new, let alone taking used bike's into consideration. I seem to see something and think "Thats the bike! yup i'll get one of those" until I then see something else and think "Hmmm but hey thats bloody nice too!" of course having a garage full of bikes would just lovely but reality unfortunately slaps thy self in the face and says "WHAP! just pick one dick!". How do you choose just one meat from a smorgasboard especially when out of the corner of your eye you spot the pudding?!

as someone who just upgraded to a 600. i would suggest going japanese, they are great bikes and are relatively cheap. and as much as i hate to admit it dangerous is right, dont go straight to a huge powerful bike. going from a 250 with 30hp to a bike with over 150-180 hp is a huge step up. get a second had 600/750 and enjoy the ride. after you have more experience riding then get your dream bike.
