i like that idea - did this about a week ago - was a great ride...apart from some loose metal on new road just before Sign of Kiwi - found myself on the grass at the side of the road ... quite exciting. Reckon there'd be plenty wanting a ride on wed night.

I will be there to meet up, as have bought a 98 Ducati ST2 4 weeks ago from R1MADNESS bike shop. Am really enjoying the ride on this bike , would be very keen to do the summit route to sumner as suggested or what ever is decided. Cheers Iggy

If you do the sumit road, just remember that it is summer, holiday time,
and you will come across joggers cyclists, mountain bikers, tourists in campers, boy racers all out to enjoy the same road.
So expect more than just loose shingle on the blind corners.
Yes a great ride in the summer, but dont expect to be safe at any speed over say 80kph, so many possibilities of carnage

firstly i dont use TTS,im a ROCK OIL SYNTHESIS guy, have been for 25 years

i use about 10ml per litre .sometimes a little more until i get the aroma i am looking for.just pour into teh oil tank.make sure it is oil not vanilla essence.

    that would be bad

BTW putoline already make a strawberry scented oil for injector systemshttp://www.putoline.com/en/products/...ooter-scented/

When I was up there the other day there was quite a bit of loose gravel lying around between gebbies pass and kennedy's bush, as well as the newly sealed bit from SOK to marleys hill.

And as he said look out for cyclists, Le Race is not far away so there are heaps of roadies out training.

I'm probably away wed so won't make it

As i sit here surfing the web looking at what my next bike will be, I think to myself "What the hell will my next bike be??!!" I mean how on earth do you choose?? When buying a 250 you really are quite limited when you decide on style, performance, and new or used and finally you end up with a small list and you then take some for a ride and make your choice, relatively simple. Things seem to be a lot harder when you go from that to deciding on anything from a 250cc up to a 2300cc bike and there are hundreds of bikes to choose from new, let alone taking used bike's into consideration. I seem to see something and think "Thats the bike! yup i'll get one of those" until I then see something else and think "Hmmm but hey thats bloody nice too!" of course having a garage full of bikes would just lovely but reality unfortunately slaps thy self in the face and says "WHAP! just pick one dick!". How do you choose just one meat from a smorgasboard especially when out of the corner of your eye you spot the pudding?!

Get a Ducati....I have no regrets!...but then I am biased, everyone has an opinion on what bike is "the best"

Yeah well i really like Ducati's right from first being interested in bikes. I love Italian style, personality, quality and performance. For a while i thought i'd buy a SS750 but then i started looking at the 1000cc mark and then the like's of a Moto guzzi Breva,or Moto Marini Corsaro or a Aprilia Tuono tickle my fancy too. At the moment i'm very interested in a Aprilia Shiver. I have only sat on one at this stage. Bloody nice bike especially with ABS! A tad bit to high for me when i'm trying to touch the ground but in riding position very very comfortable!! Style, grunt, racing technology and quality. ooh nice!

I had a Yamaha XJ 400 Diversion road bike for a couple of years but then when it came time for an upgrade, was spoilt for choice on what bike I wanted. I always liked Ducatis but did not think I could afford one until I spotted this minter Ducati ST2 for sale at R1madness bike shop (Just Motorcycles). It really comes down to what you can afford, how you can handle the extra weight and horsepower. Good luck on your choice of bike in the future and another thing just google on the bike reviews on any particular bike, as you will get an idea on how they perform by various owners and test riders. Cheers Iggy

You try the ones that make your top 5, if you can decide on a top 5.
I really like my Daytona, but would also like a more upright riding bike (cruiser or naked bike), a touring bike (for 2 up) and a motorxcross...
And a boss hoss just for the hell of it.

Just be like laRIKin and become a bike whore... lol
