You are not the only person on the road with a brain - there are countless people on the road who know exactly what they are doing and are plenty skilled to boot. It's YOU who is the newbie.
Finally, you had better start thinking about the safety of others. The deal is, I regard your safety as more important than mine, and the same principle applies in reverse. If that deal is off, then the road is a very unsafe place.
