That's Foreskins riding, with Mike Webb in the background.
Mike was riding my 950, which I was too sick to ride...

It is like feast or famine here......First there aren't any KTM950's for sale, rare as hens teeth, every man and his dog wants one...
Now, in the space of 10 days there are three for sale, there were four! One looks like it has gone and in my opinion, it was by far the best one to get.....
So, my KTM enthusiasts, there are three here, two in orange, one is older but cleaner, the other one looks good, almost new, the 2007 anthracite one (yes, it is a colour) well, rough on the body, and he wants another $1500 for the pipes....
To me, that is full retail for a used 9 fiddy....$19500? No, sorry....
Anyway, take a look guys, if you haven't already...

Wings are a good investment by the looks of it, they increase in value the older they get looking at that price.

The pipes, slips ons are only $1800 from Aus...Investment? Naa, anything you put onto a bike is a consumable, you can't inflate a price because they look good and sound good. If they are worth $1500, try to sell them then, remove them, put the standard ones back on...
You see a lot of sport bikes for sale with pipes on the bike and the price is not inflated just because the bike sounds better....
AND, I don't think Wings gives the 950 any more HP, and if it does it would be minimal, but the fuel burn would be more I bet...

The best things about pipes on the LC8 is it removes the nuclear reactors off the back as those puppies get really hot, not to mention they weight a ton.

I wouldn't say pipes don't make more power just not a huge amount, the weight reduction would be a bigger increase, smoother throttle is a plus and the noise is the icing.

By the way FMF's are the best bang for your buck.

    +100

I couldn't believe how hot the mufflers on my 950 got.
And I was stunned at how heavy the bastids were - it's almost like an optical illusion.
I've got Staintunes on mine, probably a leettle bit loud, but good for 4 or 5 HP.

Yes, heat is the big issue. A short ride can melt gloves....(been there) I was surprised! Weight reduction is good, it all helps. And the biggest "buck for the bang" is the Akrapovics... All show and no go....But if a bike came with them, snap it up...

    Standard screen or bigger?
The press 990Adv last year had a KTM Touring Screen on it and it was awful.
