No I'm not. You were in front of me all the way back into town the other week.

I actually like the idea of a scooter WNR. I don't have one or know anybody that even owns one, but I like the idea.

That was my plan, then round the bays to diamond harbour sounds OK.

If wifey decides to stay home it sounds like it's time for the scooter's first legal ride in about 25 years.

Re 1st post of this thread & the thread from 08 WNR here

You expect novice riders wanting to learn from more advanced riders & so-called experienced riders to deal with a ride to Kaikoura departing that time of the evening, having to deal with long-haul rigs coming from Picton, tired car drivers doing the same etc and that's just getting to Kaikoura then deal with the return journey aswell? some of the smaller bikes would struggle with fuel let-alone the other hazards that piece of SH1 throws up?
If you're bored with the usual proceedings then that's your inadequatacy and Yeah maybe the intention of the rides is a socially fuelled experience but it's also to help the younger riders and throwing them in the deep end isn't helping and does put a few off the idea of being involved too because senior riders are more intent on their own wants rather than thinking of what they can contribute.

I'd be mad keen to haul the 50cc out for a WNR
