He was someones loved. RIP rider. My sincere condolences to family and friends.
yeah, LOL hell you cant all go all serious and PC, christ you would end up a depressed heap... even death threads need some humour in them it actually helps with greif.
ps: am impressed cop bashers have not got on the ban wagon.
not nesaserlsary... a friend whos hubbie just died (on a bike) has been refused acc pay out cos he was supsedly only 'tempory' worker or 'part time' even tho he punched out 6 days a week... pricks like insurance will get out what ever way they can to not pay up.
cheers DD
(Definately Dodgy)
I notice that whenever a 'runner' dies [regardless of machine type], one of the first police actions is to claim 'the pursuit was called off 2 minutes before' [or words to that effect]. Guilty conscience?....covering their collective arses?......vehicle pursuits kill more than they save?...........I vote 'yes' for all three!
That is really unfair, he would have been paying acc levy from his wages, and even if he wasn't his wife should be intitled to some help from acc. I know of a worker on a work visa who needed time off work after spending a few days in hospital and had no sick leave and he got the sickness benefit while he had time off (different situation I know). Going to ring someone in the know at acc and ask some questions. Will PM you later in day.
somebody in wellington is waking up this morning knowing their loved one is dead!

Regardless of what he rode, who his familly were, who the cop was, he obviously had his reasons for running and thought he could get away with it ! Perhaps licenceless, perhaps he'd had a few, who knows !
He made his decision and paid the ultimate price ! He didn't committ deliberate suicide, so if i know him, or those close to him, i will attend his funeral and comfort those around him !
Won't bag the cop, wont bag the rider, wont bag those who choose to do either !
15 meters is a long time to be falling !
A girlfriend once asked " Why is it you seem to prefer to race, than spend time with me ?"
The answer was simple ! "I'll prolly get bored with racing too, once i've nailed it !"
Bowls can wait !
I saw this Guy on the way home, I was heading north down the J'ville straight and I saw weaving in and out of the Sth bound traffic, he was absolutely fek'n going for it!! about 5 seconds later I saw a patrol car in pusuit, wasn't till about 2 hour's later I heard he had been killed, he was going so fast I couldn't even tell what bike he was riding.
He sure did make a bad judgement and he has now paid the ultimate price, HIS LIFE!!!!!!!! Only he knows why he did it.
R.I.P. Rider and condolences to his Family & Friends.
