So Geordie enjoyed the ride to Kaikoura too did he??
Well I also enjoyed last nights little run to Diamond Harbour.
Crowe also enjoyed the run, she made comments about going on more WNR's. You wouldent know but she has been to 14 Brass Monkeys. Got told off a little bit for scraping the pegs going through goveners bay. About the only down was we were very dissapointed in the meals, won't be ordering there anymore, will just get takeaways. The beer was great!
Needed a WOF today, the bike is almost 5 years old and if I get it now I get a year, Monday I only get 1/2 a year. I brought it a nice set of custom HD mirrors as a birthday present. Well its raining now and I have to ride home in the english sunshine, it was such a nice day this morning.
welll, i think Fiona coped really well on her first WNR witht he wee Scorpio - she did find it very stressful and was really worried about holding people up but she was very happy when we got home. Thanks to all who rode with us and offered support! much appreciated! Out to Diamond Harbour would be her longest ride yet and involved the most open road riding she's done so far.
Hi - Sounds like a great ride....
I wanted to see if I was a bad omen - i.e. both rides of been on it rained - I didn't go last night and it didnt rain oh well I guess that proves that.
Next time I think you's need some rain - Ill tag along ... ;-)

When I asked him, he always answered yes it was good fun and would do it again.
We will do the ride again and next time will start our own thread.
Only way the learn to ride at night is practise, riding at night.
And it did look real neat seeing a row of light carving through the hill.
Feel the fear and do it anyway
Don't confuse education with intelligence.
There are alot of highly educated idiots out there.
Yeah not the best, left my jacket in the car this morning, and got a bit damp this afternoon. Thank goodness for the heated seat in the truck
Your new bike really suits you mate. kind of made me miss my 1200 bandit . Keep thinking about that day ride over to woodstock![]()
Hey all, have not had too many chances to join in lately, shifting house, study and all the other time constraining things that happen at this time of year, so it was great to get out last night (even though as pillion) for a WNR with a difference... the trip to Kaikoura that some of us took was fantastic for a change to the local rides, and with the timing and organisation by the guys, it was really well worth it.
Look forward to making it along to some 'regular' WNRs' now that the New Year is settling in around us here!
Cheers, and Happy New Year!

Looked like she was doing OK when I was following from DH to wheatsheaf on the way home, I've ridden behind worse riders without L plates on.
Or if not a car, at least a trailer to carry that much gear.
It is good to have some basic tools, I was cursing not putting the tools back in the scooter's toolbox when it stopped on the way home from work last night.5 minutes to clean the crap out of the carby once I got home and going again. Just as well I left it at home on wednesday night.
Riding cheap crappy old bikes badly since 1987
