No it doesn't, however sometimes when you do something stupid it just happens.
Point is, deserved or not, you pay your money, you take ya chances - deserved has nothing to do with it.

Its not something I would do or condone, but sometimes in stressful situations we make stupid, messed up judgement calls.
Unfortunately this dude paid for it with his life. He shouldn't have done it, but still sad to hear

Debatable but he made his choice and deserves whatever the outcome may be which in this instance was death.

The only good that can come from this is that others learn from his stupidity and if faced with the same situation man up and accept responsibility for their actions instead of choosing to risk their lives for something so insignificant.

Yes he did make his choice, but I still don't think he 'deserves' death. I guess when making a decision you need to take in account all the possible outcomes but it was likely that it a was a split decision (a stupid one), who can honestly say they have never made a bad decision under pressure??
Don't get me wrong, like I said, I don't condone his behaviour. I just think that given no one really knows the situation, its a bit rough to be suggesting that the sad outcome was deserved.
Though I agree he shouldn't have done it and should have accepted responsibility from the beginning

I notice that whenever a 'runner' dies [regardless of machine type], one of the first police actions is to claim 'the pursuit was called off 2 minutes before' [or words to that effect]. Guilty conscience?....covering their collective arses?......vehicle pursuits kill more than they save?...........I vote 'yes' for all three!

Who cares - the dude is dead by his own actions, nobody put a gun to his head and said 'do a runner or else', did they?

It's hard to have too much sympathy, and it'd probably be misplaced anyway. There's also Haiti where there's a lot of people dead, or about to die , but then they're a long way away so perhaps we don't need to be too sympathetic? I know who gets my sympathy.
