I'm keen to do this, I've just gotta confirm my leave pass with the babysitter. Time for a road trip i feel
Can you confirm if the Earnslaw still takes bikes this time of year (subject to lake level)?
Also, where is nearest fuel station after camp at Mavora, I'll be taking Von Rd from Walter Peak, so will need gas before venturing up the Nevis.
    Cheers

I'm still tentativly putting my hand up. Will probably wait until a week or so out before commiting depending on how the baby "incubator" is going. I'll bring a tent if no bed spaces left.

    Cheers R

I can't go this time but based on last years experience, Toddy is a bloody good host and the adv riding handy to the Rally is awesome.
This includes the Nevis, Borlands & Mavora Lakes to Walter Peak etc. Plus a trip on the Earnslaw for you & your bike gets you on the other side of Wakatipu to attack Skippers & Macetown. And then there's all the Dusty Butt route just north of there.......
So if adventure riding is your thing, then this is the Rally to attend.
