    Salford Street (Wgtn) warning

Just a warning to be very careful if you are going to negotiate this road in Newlands, Wellington.
It has just been AC'd (asphalt) and is very slippery.

Unfortunately one of our KB'ers came to grief this morning there but he and bike are relatively undamaged thank goodness.

The Council is looking at it this morning to improve this situation.
Feel free to PM me if you want to know more.

Cheers. That's a nasty steep peice of road at the best of time. Seems to be a large amount of resurfacing going on around the area at the moment.

Hope they're not going to be working on the m'way tonight (or Saturday), as she'll be a bit busy with concert traffic!

Ouch. Hope you're okay Nigel, and that pretty Gixxer ain't too badly scratched.
And I to my motorcycle parked like the soul of the junkyard. Restored, a bicycle fleshed with power, and tore off. Up Highway 106 continually drunk on the wind in my mouth. Wringing the handlebar for speed, wild to be wreckage forever.
