Have a read of it here on my website

can i ask you what make of tyres you use ?
That race was awesome! Was a bit suprised when you just didn't stop going left though...glad you kept on it as I wasn't really sure with the 600 race right after, I know how close the wall can be there are you went off on a peculiar angle...Too bad you won't be up north, it was great having someone to chase![]()

I was using dunlop ntec rear tyres till I put the old one on which is the model before the ntec's came out. Not sure if it was age or bike setup. The ntec would slide occasionally but it was very manageable and would re grip pretty quickly. The other one started sliding and just kept going. Pretty sure I did close the throttle very quickly which wouldn't help things but I don't know if it was savable!
Yeah very good fun. I have no idea how you could brake so late into turn 1. I was having big issues getting the bike to turn into the chicane and ride the bumps through there and I'm sure you were making up a heap through there. It was like me riding buckets in streetstock!
Well done Kirk...........you certainly had your fair share of ups & downs over the last few months. Im sure with another club season under your belt next Nats will be a different story. Will be keeping an even closer eye on ya from now on as my lad will be sharing your class on his SV.
Shit, your novels are longer than mine!!!
Zen wisdom: No matter what happens, somebody will find a way to take it too seriously. - obviously had KB in mind when he came up with that gem

Awesome write up, Kirk! Next year could be your year! Look forward to seeing your progress on this machine (with new tyres underneath it we hope!)

Will you be at the Hampton Down's Round on 27th March Kirk? See you there? Just did a track day on my Fireblade there yesterday. Awesome track! Technical and potentailly VERY scary if it rains coming up and onto the front straight... Chews up your right sides of your tyres though and leaves your left side pretty much alone...
"...New Zealanders, for all their faults, have virtues that are precious: an unwillingness to be intimidated by the new, the formidable, or class systems; trust in situations where there would otherwise be none; compassion for the underdog; a sense of responsibility for people in difficulty; not undertaking to do something without seeing it through - "
