    Kickstart swap

Anyone know if it's possible to do a swap-over from my stock kick start lever to that of another bike's, eg kx125, or maybe another sort? Is the fit pretty generic? My one has gotten a bit wonky, from what I've seen on the net it's a pretty common problem. Krad is gonna bend it back for me at his work but it'll probably just bend again so maybe a new one would be better, not sure.

try not kicking it so hard, its more technique, more a flick, that a kick
Why would you ride that long and that gnarly stuff if you don't have to, Its what we do, we love it.

Believe me, if that's all it took that's all I'd give it Should be starting ok now though. I just wanted to know if any of the kwaka kickers are interchangeable. KDX one seems nice and solid, I'm sure krad wont miss his...

Remove yours (if not off already) and take into a place & just get them to match one up (the part where it goes on - unsure what this is called).

Spline ? or hole with slottie bits in it. or if slottie bits are worn off, its just a hole in a kickstart lever

the KX85 one is the same kick start lever , not sure if anything else fits, i know the KX125 does not,

all kick starts wear out and start pointing down, not sure if the KX85 worse is any worse than anything else as far as that go,

PM me if you want to price a new one

Bummer! Oh well, we'll see how trying to bend it back goes, and if it doesn't, well... I'll have half a kick start lever and be dropping you a pm!

is it just hanging low, you may be able to get it spot welded to give it some mroe life, any welder may be able to do it, but they are not that easy to weld being cast

Yep, that kick start has had the shit kicked out of it. Its pretty much toast. Its bent as well as worn.

Surely someone has an old but good one in file 13 for her. They aren't that cheap as I recall.

Sorted this out at work today.
Applied oxy-acetylene torch until red hot, bend slowly and allow to cool. Then ground some sharp edges back into the area where your foot sits.
Cheap and nearly as good as new. (famous last words).
