Yes I was taking a poke at the, "I was Going to", part of your post, There are many who will also be hiding behind that type of sentiment, both living and working with in a half hour ride of Bull Shit Castel, and will cry crocidile tears after June 1st, "Why Didn't Some One Do Some Thing".

Yea...came across as 'I won't protest, because the unions are' - when it's not about 'supporting the unions' at all.
Of course, geographical location and the logistics of attending are also biggies...
Do you realise how many holes there could be if people would just take the time to take the dirt out of them?

The enemy of my enemy is my friend.... This is about us proving to the Government that no matter what they expect (us to have shut up and gone back to apathy) we are going to keep fighting this one until we return to a system of one levy for all. And we are not alone. The rest of NZ is waking up to the fact they are trying to break ACC to set it up as a different (insurance-based) system.

Although (speaking for myself and I expect most of us) we are happy for ACC to continue to replace our right to sue - if it returns to being a fair and equally balanced system - it is bizarre that Government now want to move from a no fault system to one where the fault falls onto the victim.

ACC’s logic is that you are not at fault if careless or dangerous if your vehicle is big enough but you are "at fault" if vulnerable...?

Kiddies better watch out they might have to pay a helluva lot for riding their tricycles!

I would suggest to Shrek and others who can't afford (either through money or time) to be here to back us up with letters to the editor, calls to talkback radio, visits to your MPs, etc.

If you can't be in Welly I totally understand. I wouldn't be able to get to South Island or Auckland either in my current financial position. But please, can we have some support in other ways. Even if its to bitch about how it affects YOU as a biker.

    it all helps...
And I to my motorcycle parked like the soul of the junkyard. Restored, a bicycle fleshed with power, and tore off. Up Highway 106 continually drunk on the wind in my mouth. Wringing the handlebar for speed, wild to be wreckage forever.

What's it all really about? Please correct me if I am wrong!

In the matter of "difference" between ACC (Woodhouse) State monopoly and private multi choice "insurance", the latter has always been my personal preference but I have had a good think about it and...........

Prior to ACC, life for accident victims generally was not good, even though we had the right to sue the party responsible for the accident, that hardly ever occurred to the benefit of the accident victims and their families!

Free-market insurance was available then and if it was such a good idea then, as it is supposed to be now, why wasn't it working for the benefit of the majority back then?

National would have us believe that it would be to our benefit if they are allowed to continue down their free-market path of dismantling the current abused and dysfunctional model of ACC and replacing it with free choice competitive accident insurance providers!

They were not there for our benefit before ACC and they will not be there for our benefit after ACC has been dismantled and discarded either!

ACC has served New Zealand well, it is politically bent, not broken, as our self serving political leaders would have us believe!

Since the inception of (Woodhouse) ACC, political groups of every ilk, flag and creed, have tinkered with it to suit their own political ends and as long as we have MMP and it's resulting lucky dip self appointed governments, it will always be the same, unless "we" the people tell them to stop and "return ACC to it's basic (Woodhouse) principals and philosophy" and leave it bloody well alone!

This is what I believe the heart of the current action is all about, returning ACC to it's original roots in keeping with the principals and philosophy of the Woodhouse model!

In an ideal world I do not totally disagree with the principals of freedom of choice of private insurance provider, rather than a State controlled monopoly welfare system with it's political tinkering, abuse and high cost but this is not an ideal world situation!

We (the taxpayers) must tell the politicians once and for all that ACC must return to it's foundation principals and philosophy and that they must leave it alone and cease using it as a political football in the future!

This National lead coalition (self appointed lucky dip) government have unscrupulously lied, cheated and misrepresented the so called figures and facts to suit their own agenda so blatantly, it can only cause one to conclude that they are playing their pipes to the tune of their financial backers, who must therefore have a financial interest in the outcome of their action!

MMP (media manipulated procrastination) provides an eventual government coalition dictatorship but who actually do they serve, the people of the nation or the financial providers that pave the way for their ascent to the treasury benches, you be the judge!

This action is an opportunity to spell out to the current and any other would be pretenders to government, that we the people have had enough and that ACC is just the tip of the iceberg of our discontent!

March together with confidence, commitment, sincerity and with one very loud voice!

Good luck, I would like to be there, somebody just might start listening!

I've just been on the phone with my mother-in-law, who lives in Lower Hutt. i took the opportunity to update her on Tuesday's protest, and told her to tell all her friends. Hopefully I have helped to swell the numbers....

    Fat Max's Ride revised issue

    Well......

My Legacy (known as Sassy to those who enjoyd the ride in her) has been smashed by a litte boy racer wanker who was practising Drifting in the street outside

Little punk has failed his breath test, and well, if the skid mark wasnt at least 3 sections long (about 30 meters FFS) in a 50 k area it would almost have been a comedy....the whole neighborhood has been held to ransom by these little pricks and thier big bore xhaust rear wheel drive rice burning turbo charged drift king machines and now we have had our first fatallity...my Subaru!!!

Vin Diesel movies have a lot to answer for around here I can tell you

I will DEFINITELY buy another Subaru tho look at the damage to the Nissan (he slid INTO the rear corner of the Subby with his drivers door)

Problem is Ratti was going to use this car to get Max from the airport....bugger

And the little prick is getting looked after by ACC...bet they class it a bike accident! (I have a class 6 license and my car got hit! LOL)
