I sat at the creek and waited for an hour or so for some friends. Spent a lot of time helping others at the creek, filled the rut a few times with ferns to give people a bit more traction, and lifted alot of bikes out. I may have give you lift green machine? it pays to remember your roots at these things and give others a hand sometimes after all its not a race. i really enjoyed my day and was a good change to have a cruisey ride

You say "bucking bronco".... what do you mean by this?
I only ask as the bucking almost makes me think of suspension? Set up wrong perhaps? How much do you weigh?
I'm 19 and well under 6 foot and weigh in at approx 65 kilo..... I know my RMZ has far more power than I or most other people can handle, but it is at the turn of MY wrist...
I also know that I would be quicker in most places on a 250 as it would be alot more nimble. But the explosive power of the big bore is just too addictive...
I plan to look seriously into the KTM 350's when they are around as a step forward in speed. If this doesn't eventuate for me I'll be looking at an injected 250 with 290 kit and a pipe.... But not before putting in a bunch more hours on the big bore as training, it's certainly more of a workout to ride and the quicker I get on this through the trees the quicker I know I'll be on something lighter.

All I'm saying is think a little more about the 450 before you flick it and lose a bunch of cash (presuming you bought it new) just coz it gave you a scare or two.

haha no danger, they get a tad heavy when your shagged. I doubt you were the only one left to wallow. The MR marshalls were there 2nd time round and did a top job. its always a mish trying to help people who have no energy left and mud laddened bikes! glad i could help ya

Valid points mate, but i'm a late bloomer at this riding caper, started at 38....41 now,i started after my mates nagged me to get a bike, now i'm hooked, was loving the 250f but got caught up in the hype and manly banter and thought "i can handle a 450",it has become obvious that i can't.....

Ha it was just a little stream Mate but the opposite bank bank got rutted out with all the bikes!
Not many could make it up as the ruts jammed the pegs.
I thought I'm gonna give this shit and push it through under power!
So I gave it shit then the front wheel was pointing at the sky as it pivoted on the back wheel jambed in the rut.
Then I was on my arse in the river LOL!!! I managed to push the front wheel back over so it was jambed right way up in the rut! At least I didn't have to crawl out from under it in the water LOL!!!
Bugger the only time I didn't make something all day had to be in front of 100 other bikers waiting their turn! LOL!!!
Ah well if you don't have a sense of humor in this game your stuffed Aye!!!

Here's part of the ride that was dry.

Around 10 minutes into it yawl be treated to a Quad bouncin down a steep hill.

Yeh mate it wasn't to bad, That was the second loop so the traffic jambs where less, Well? till we got to the chopper where everyone had to stop.
I had a quick look at the speedo on one of those paddocks was doin 110Kph, dunno if we went faster or not but that was what was showing when i remembered to look LOL!!
That bloody quad rolled right over the guy, bugger those for a joke. He looked a bit sore but there where plenty of guys going to help so we went on!
From the impression I got all the carnage was quads through out the day.

As I said before the bike was a quite flat in its power, really rich, black plug, (my fault) so its in bits now, seat off tail section off, carby stripped.

Btw Does anyone know a good place I can get 162 & 160 main jets for a 38mm Keihin carb. 6mm x 10mm long. They want $20 bucks each locally!! bugger that!
