I've always wondered - how do folks that need glasses find them every morning?

Easy. Whisky glass? Leave 1/4 in the glass next to your bed and follow your nose. Kick start your day.

I'm always the slowest to leave in a group ride.... After I fluff around putting my ear plugs in, then glasses (no flip up helmet here).

My son just went to contacts and loves them (after getting used to the bastards). Maybe I should do the same and look even less intelligent. With the sad looking beard I'm growing, would help the biker stereotype I suppose!

Turns out the nose rests on my new specs are made of some plastic shit that my skin does not like They dont slip down my nose but by golly they sure make their presense felt. Take them back tomorrow for new nose bits, meantime I am back to the tried and trues. Not as clear by a long shot but at least the top of my nose is not on fire

Nah the nature of my work means I cant use the stupid things, I spend a lot of time looking straight ahead at close range not down. apart from that, only old people have those lenses....

I rate the progressive specs. Saves the arse-ache of changing specs all the time.
It took about a fortnight to get used to them, no worries after that

First glasses I got were for reading music on a stand a set distance from where I was sitting/standing. Progressed from there. I love the fact I can see over a range of distances now. I dont need them for distance though, just close up stuff.

I'm the same... although apparently most people DO have a slight distance prescription.
I have found I don't get quite so tired after a big day at work, the old peepers are a bit more relaxed

Same here, I have an astigmatism and cataracts. Middle distance is improved though very long distance is no different with or wthout the glasses. I was having increasing problems with night vision and the glasses have greatly improved that.

I'll eventually need an op for the cataracts but hopefully not for a couple of years yet.
