    Dam that was boring!!!!!

And here I was ready to rip Alison Mau from the top of the headlines with my story on 'fixed' reviews.

    Back to the drawing board.

Maybe I should just rip off Alisons top full stop ............ that would get some media coverage.

Dave you have to use the bars more for steering and afer six mths your shouders will look like you have been lifting suitcases lol, most of the people who have ridden it have had no probs getting the guts of it and from what I hear sales have been pretty good and even better the ozzies can't get them due to the width of the rear wheels classing them as a car over there and it would be hard to fit seatbelts lol.

Cheers for that - Interesting about Aus - yeah - according to my press releases it's only available in NZ.

In fact - i just got this:

The first of the Harley-DavidsonTri Glide Ultra Classic motorcycles will roll into Christchurch, New Zealand from tomorrow, Thursday 18 February and we’re inviting you down to be one of the first in New Zealand to trial.

The three-wheel motorcycle is truly an innovative design and will be unique to New Zealand Harley-Davidson dealerships from early 2010.

Only available in New Zealand, the new Tri Glide gives riders a select riding experience on a sleek and stylish new machine. Two wheels in the back and one in the front make this design ideal for comfort and convenience without throwing away the traditional Harley motorcycle experience.

There will two Trikes available all day tomorrow and Friday morning until Midday for exclusive trial runs. If you cannot commit to either of these days you may be able to arrange additional times to trial the Trike with a member of the Harley-Davidson team on site.

For more information on the 20th annual NZ HOG Rally go to http://www.nzhogrally2010.co.nz/

    -------------------

I have an offer to ride one back to Auckland - might be a bit of humour.

One of those fancy HD trikes has been parked outside Rolling Thunder for at least a week now, available for demo rides I believe. In black (probably called Midnight Passion) of course. It is a good looking kit for a big touring trike.

Very Harley – even the taillights on each rear fender look like the bike ones.

I wonder what it rides like ……..

50 something K I think, which for a fully equipped factory trike with all the backing is probably pretty good value if that’s you thing.

And best of all, you don’t get that weird Harley feeling of your bike falling over when you put the stand down!

Yea thats the one I rode did 550km's on it, would own one but would also have to have other bikes in the garage as well, why don't you go and take it for a ride you don't have to have anything to do with the hog rally as long as you have your full license ,come on you no you want to.

Looks like a nice ride if you want a steet bike. But I want to why Honda have abandonned the VTX 1300 and 1800 in NZ?

To you guys quoting Harley this and that etc i say this.
When you guys ride a bike that makes more horsepower than decibels, doesn't have twin shocks and doesn't use world war two technology then we may start listening to you .
Like the steam train those days are gone get used to it there's no use looking back.!
Nowadays we can have a bike like the fury which is Jap reliable (probably like your car,of course unless you drive one of the amazing yank cars that have taken the world by storm and everyone nowadays drives).Gee the likes of Toyota,Mazda,Nissan, etc etc,etc must be shitting themselves worrying about the quality of American vehicles, that is threatening to take over the world.
Our true roots in motorcycling actually belong with Triumph.Bsa etc.
Actually i like Harleys and have owned one. This post is tongue in cheek but come on guys lighten up whats wrong with the fury??

Looks like a 'nice' wee Honda.

What's wrong with the Fury, nothing until the 2011 one comes out.

I don't think many old school bikers will be trading their Harley's on one of these. They might sell a few in Japland but not here.

Historically the term chopper came about when riders after WW2, many who were returned service men, modified their bikes for performance reasons. They chopped off all the unnecessary bits and turned them into race bikes. The commercial custom ride thing came about much latter probably driven by the RUB's.

Had a look at the Fury yesterday. Looks better in the flesh. Few things I didn't like - wheels should be chrome. Some of the finishing was a little poor - bif fugly frame welds and "cable ties". Overall tho I thought it looked quite nice. But I won't be trading Bob for one.

P.S. I have nothing against ANY brand of bike - I choose to ride a Harley even tho it is antiquated technology, not the best handling, not the fastest etc. etc. - It has SOUL tho!
